WATCH FRIDAY NIGHT LOCKER ROOM REPLAY
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida District 22 All-Stars kicked-off Saturday morning with the 8/9/10 baseball division at Indian River City Little League’s W. W. James Field, where the visiting team, Indian River City Little League (IRCLL), met Merritt Island Little League (MILL).
For IRCLL, Kyle Cox had a single and 2 RBI while Blake Griffin added a triple and Keagan Hamilton drew a bases loaded walk to pick up an RBI.
For MILL, Bode Handwork went 3 for 4 including a triple and 3 RBI and Liam Miller went 2 for 2 with a double and RBI.
Alex Gregoire also provided some offense for MILL with a double, triple and 3 RBI while Asher Anderson capped the offense with a home run and a triple. Anderson was also the winning pitcher picking up the win in relief as MILL won 13 to 5 in 5 1/2 innings.
In the afternoon game, the visiting team, Mims Little League (MLL), met Port St. John Little League (PSJLL).
The game was tight early as PSJLL’s Cale West went 2 for 2 with a single, double and RBI with Braden Murphy adding a single and RBI.
But the Mims bats came alive late in the game as Larry Stewart went 3 for 4 with a home run, triple and double along with 3 RBI.
MLL’s Nolan Edwards had a triple and RBI while Prestyn Zediker pitched 4 Innings in relief and picked up the 18-7 win on the mound for Mims as the game went 6 full innings.
8/9/10 baseball continues Sunday at W. W. James Field.
