Brevard Restaurants, Bars Step Up To Assist Animal Sanctuary Raise Money For Construction

Five restaurants, bars, pubs, taverns and hot spots will open their doors before usual Saturday hours to accommodate motorcyclists and motorists eager to raise money for the Animal Sanctuary.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Five restaurants, bars, pubs, taverns and hot spots will open their doors before usual Saturday hours to accommodate motorcyclists and motorists eager to raise money for the Animal Sanctuary.

Wid’s Place in Melbourne, Lou’s Blues in Indialantic, Pig & Whistle in Cocoa Beach, Island Waterfront Grille in Merritt Island and Tailgater’s Tavern in Suntree have offered to open their establishments early on Saturday morning, July 22 to help raise money for the next phase of construction at The Animal Sanctuary in Cocoa.

The most pressing construction goal is the purchase of 4,500 truck loads of fill dirt, which has been bid at $135 per load.

Motorcycle enthusiasts, car enthusiasts and anyone who can get to the five businesses between 8:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  are welcome to play.

In addition to the registration fee, they will have opportunities to purchase tickets for a 50/50 cash draw as well as opportunities to receive gift baskets created by dozens of other businesses across Brevard County.

Registration is $25 the day of the event. Everyone who registers before 12 noon on Friday, July 21 will receive a $5 discount. Prizes will be awarded for best and worst hands.
