BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — October is quickly approaching and Brevard Zoo is preparing plenty of tricks and treats for this year’s Boo at the Zoo.

This all-inclusive, all-ages annual event, which is more than 20 years running, features live entertainment, nightly costume contests, the “Boo Choo” train ride and, of course, plenty of trick-or-treating.

New this year are the haunted “Hall of Illusions” and an original puppet show.

The Zoo is seeking local businesses and community organizations to sponsor treat stations.

Sponsors can choose to participate for one, two or all three weekends. Packages begin at $300.

“Trick-or-treating in a safe, fun atmosphere is the main draw for the thousands of families that attend Boo at the Zoo,” said Chris Stagman, corporate relations manager at the Zoo.

“Treat station sponsors help us create that environment, and their contributions support the Zoo’s animal wellness, conservation and education programs.”

This year’s event runs October 13–15, 20–22 and 27–29 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Brevard Zoo is home to more than 800 animals representing 180 species from all over the world. As a not-for-profit organization, it is a leader in the fields of animal wellness, education and conservation.
