Eastern Florida State Titan Men’s Soccer Team Faces Tough Schedule In 2017-18

To be the best, you have to play the best. The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team will do just that this season.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – To be the best, you have to play the best. The Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer team will do just that this season.

The Titans, who finished last season No. 16 in the nation with a 12-4-1 record, will open the season in Kansas against Trinidad State who went to the national tournament last season.

They will also play Laramie Community College who finished the season No. 11 in the nation.

Eastern Florida State College will host Jefferson College on Sept. 1 in the home opener at 8 p.m. on the Melbourne campus.

They will also travel to New York City to play Monroe College, who lost in the national championship to Tyler Junior College and Mercer College Sept. 7-8.

The Titans, who finished last season No. 16 in the nation with a 12-4-1 record, will open the season in Kansas against Trinidad State who went to the national tournament last season.

“We are looking forward to testing ourselves against the best NJCAA programs in the nation,” Eastern Florida State College men’s soccer coach Oliver Twelvetrees said.

“As always we will play the toughest schedule possible and our trip to Monroe and out west to play Trinidad and Laramie will pit us against some of the best teams in the country.”

The Region 8 opener will be Sept. 20 against Daytona State College, who the Titans shared the title with last season with 7-2 records. The first matchup of the 2017 season will be at the Melbourne campus at 7 p.m.

“We play a very talented trio of Daytona, Broward and ASA who are all hungry for success, every game as always will be fiercely contested and we will be ready to compete from the first whistle,” Twelvetrees said.

The Titans will also host ASA Miami Sept. 29, Webber International JV Oct. 6 and Broward College Oct. 14 this season.
