Florida Department of Transportation Project To Resurface 2 Miles of Rockledge Boulevard Set To Begin

The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization informed motorist in the Rockledge area that beginning in mid-July, the Florida Department of Transportation will start on a 2-mile resurfacing project on Rockledge Boulevard, from just north of Barnes Boulevard to just south of Park Avenue.

BREVARD COUNTY • ROCKLEDGE, FLORIDA – The Space Coast Transportation Planning Organization informed motorist in the Rockledge area that beginning in mid-July, the Florida Department of Transportation will start on a 2-mile resurfacing project on Rockledge Boulevard, from just north of Barnes Boulevard to just south of Park Avenue.

Please be prepared for single-lane closures in this area for the duration of the project.

Improvements also include northbound shoulder widening, with rumble striping and guardrail additions.

Stormwater pipe repairs and roadway grading are planned to improve drainage.

Motorists and other road users should expect single lane closures during active construction periods. Message boards and other signage will alert motorists to upcoming lane closures and traffic shifts.
