Posture and form are everything in your training. Before you rush out to the gym spend some time reviewing a few YouTube video to get a firm understanding of the form required for the exercises you will be undertaking.

When you workout at the gym, do it standing in front of the mirror where you can keep a close eye on your form and how your biokinetics is responding to the stimulus from your workouts.

If you feel that something is not right with your form then ask an experienced trainee or a personal trainer to judge your form and give you feedback on what you should be doing to correct it.

Nutrition Tips for Improved Energy

Do you eat refined carbohydrates such as flour and sugar? These foods are causing inflammation in your body, diminishing the ability to produce energy from your food. Your GI tract is home to trillions of micro bacteria that assimilate the nutrients from your food and then pass it into your bloodstream where it fuels metabolic processes.

Reduce the inflammatory foods in your diet and replace them with sprouts, whole grains, healthy fats, and protein. These calories will give you the energy you need to get through the day and still perform in the gym. The reduced inflammation will also keep your skin looking younger and healthier, your joints lubricated and mobile, and your thinking clear and concise.

Track Progress with Your Logbook

Collect data from your workouts and your daily nutrition with the assistance of a log book. A log book will help you keep track of what you are doing and give you valuable insight into what is working and what isn’t.

Take the time to review the data at the end of every month and make adjustments to your training and diet based on the data you have collected.

Only by knowing where you have been will you understand where you need to go. If you are having trouble analyzing your data, then take it back to your personal trainer and nutritionist so that they can make the adjustments for you.
