BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — Local Care Wear volunteers presented Jess Parrish Medical Foundation (JPMF) with more than 50 handmade blankets, toys and baby clothes for pediatric patients at Parrish Medical Center (PMC).

“We wanted to give back to our community by supporting families and children entering the hospital. Care Wear is a nationwide group of volunteers who knit, crochet, and/or sew, providing handmade baby items directly to hospitals.

When we heard about the pediatric programs and services provided by PMC, we knew that this was the right organization to receive the donation,” said Linda Stuck, Care Wear Volunteer.

Several volunteers from the local Care Wear chapter presented the items to Melinda Hodges, Manager PMC Women’s Services; and Misty Wilson, Director of Jess Parrish Medical Foundation.

“We really appreciate the time it took to make the handmade items, which will be so comforting to the children who are admitted to our pediatric unit and new families that are delivering at our hospital,” said Hodges.

“We are very thankful for this generous and heartfelt donation.”
