BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Monday morning, members of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit joined me at Longleaf Elementary School in Melbourne to launch our new program “Milk & Donuts With The Sheriff.”

In addition to giving me a chance to have donuts, this newly created program is designed as a meet and greet with elementary age students across Brevard County to help build strong relationships with our youth.

The program allows us to interact with the students and their teachers while enjoying some refreshments and answering questions about our careers in the field of Law Enforcement.

This morning’s “Milk and Donuts With The Sheriff” was sponsored by Krispy Kreme Donuts of Melbourne who provided over 250 students with donuts.

In addition to thanking Krispy Kreme Donuts of Melbourne, I want to also thank Principal Kimberly Bias and her staff for hosting today’s event and for all they do to provide an outstanding education for our children. And of course I want to thank the students who were extremely respectful and courteous throughout the program.
