Multiple Agency Investigation Opened In Brevard On Local Convenience Stores Results In 11 Arrests

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The culmination of a multi-agency and multi-level investigation began Wednesday morning that included officers from the Melbourne Police Department, deputies from BCSO, West Melbourne PD SIU, the Game Over Task Force and agents from the Border Patrol, DEA and ABT, in an investigation of local convenience stores who have condoned illicit and criminal activity on their property, according to authorities.

Police say the stores have helped create problems with drugs sales, drug use, violence and other crimes that have plagued the nearby neighborhoods.

So far, the investigation has resulted in 11 arrests, number of drugs seized and a gun.

Police are still working the operation and will hold a press conference on the results of the operation tomorrow, Thursday, at 10 a.m. at the Melbourne Police Department.
