Science Café Returns To Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club Sept. 13

Science Café returns to Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club in Viera On Wednesday, Sept. 13. The popular informal speaker series, organized by Brevard Zoo and Florida Institute of Technology, invites community members to learn about the many science-based programs and research projects taking place in Brevard County.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Science Café returns to Tradewinds Restaurant at Duran Golf Club in Viera On Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The popular informal speaker series, organized by Brevard Zoo and Florida Institute of Technology, invites community members to learn about the many science-based programs and research projects taking place in Brevard County.

Brevard Zoo is home to more than 800 animals representing 180 species from all over the world. As a not-for-profit organization, it is a leader in the fields of animal wellness, education and conservation.

This season, organizers will place a focus on practical and applied science. Upcoming topics include management of invasive fishes on September 13, planktonic blooms on October 11, Alzheimer’s research on November 8 and institutional sustainability on December 13.

Science Café takes place on the second Wednesday of each month from September to June from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tradewinds.

There is no cost to attend, although a buffet dinner is available for $12 per person. All guests must RSVP; links and more information are available HERE.
