Bicyclist, 63, Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle On State Road 520, Fiske Blvd. Intersection

Rescue units responded to a deadly crash involving a car and a bicycle Wednesday night at the intersection on State Road 520 and Fiske Blvd., in front of the King Street Baptist Church.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Rescue units responded to a deadly crash involving a car and a bicycle Wednesday night at the intersection on State Road 520 and Fiske Blvd., in front of the King Street Baptist Church.

Cocoa Police say a 63-year-old black man was riding his bicycle across SR 520 at around 7 p..m., heading north in a no crossing zone, when he was struck and killed by a 2017 Jeep Cherokee traveling in the westbound lanes.

The man on the bike was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities will not release the name of the man killed in the crash until the family is notified first.

Traffic homicide investigators are still investigating the crash.
