There have been reports of a couple of tornados that touched down earlier this evening in Brevard County, so we ask that everyone please monitor the weather announcements and alerts as they are issued. The latest projected path of the storm has it moving north up the center of the state, so as we continue to feel the effects, please stay inside and do not go out into the community. (BCSO Image)

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Okay folks as you can tell from the intensity of this storm we are in for quite a few more hours of rain and very strong wind.

Remember there could be downed power lines, flooding and other hazards, so once the storm passes please give our first responders a chance to assess the county and give an all clear before you go out.

Thank you for working with us and for doing everything we can as a community to limit the impact of this storm and to help keep everyone safe!
