Brevard Public Safety Director Sue Tyson-Parker Named ABWA Top 10 Business Women of the Year

Earlier this week, Sue Tyson-Parker who serves as the Executive Director for the Brevard County Public Safety Charity was named as one of the American Business Women’s Association Top Ten Business Women of the Year.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Earlier this week, Sue Tyson-Parker who serves as the Executive Director for the Brevard County Public Safety Charity was named as one of the American Business Women’s Association Top Ten Business Women of the Year.

The Top Ten Business Women of ABWA is a national program that honors 10 outstanding members from across the country for achieving excellence in career, education and community involvement.

Ms. Parker was the only women chosen from Florida and one of two in the region which consists of Florida, Georgia and Alabama.

From those 10 honorees, one is selected to represent the Association, and all workingwomen, as the American Business Woman of ABWA.

As part of her duties as Executive Director Sue oversees the three charities for the Brevard County Public Safety Charity, the Sheriff’s Pet Posse which helps support the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Animal Care Center and other Brevard County animal rescue partners; the Police Athletic League, that helps bridge the gap between youth and Law Enforcement through athletic and education programs; and the Public Safety charity which supports first responders throughout Brevard County in their time of need during a critical incident or time in their lives.

Sue has received several community awards such as Woman of Achievement, Powerful Woman of Excellence, Volunteer of the Year and many more from various community based not for profit groups.

She has also received recognition from both of the local ABWA groups such as Chapter Women of the Year and the Making A Difference Award.

I am extremely proud of Sue as she is an amazing professional who has done an incredible job with our Public Safety Charity that helps those in our community and profession in a time of need!! I could not be more proud of her many accomplishments as a member of ABWA and as a recipient of this very prestigious award!!
