Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that killed a 53-year-old man Friday morning near Cox Rd. and Fishermans Place in Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash that killed a 53-year-old man Friday morning near Cox Rd. and Fishermans Place in Cocoa.

Troopers say the victim is identified as Andrew Franco from Cocoa.

According to investigators, Franco was traveling in a 2012 Jeep heading southbound on Cox Rd., and drove into a ditch for an unknown reason.

The crash happened around 8 a.m., according to Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol.

Franco later died at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.

The crash remains under investigation.
