BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Dr. Delicia Haynes is a national leader in trying to change America’s healthcare system.

She’s doing it through the Direct Primary Care movement, a membership-based model that provides a range of primary care services for a flat monthly rate.

In the process, she’s helping patients and physicians redesign their relationship and blazing a trail to better health.

Dr. Haynes will bring her story of compassionate care and business innovation to Eastern Florida State College in October as part of the Simpkins Entrepreneur Series.

Dr. Haynes will make two appearances Thursday, Oct. 19:

– 9 a.m. at the Bernard Simpkins Fine Arts Center on the Cocoa Campus
– Noon in the Studio Theater at the King Center for the Performing Arts on the Melbourne Campus

Dr. Haynes is the CEO and founder of Family First Health Center, a membership-based family medicine clinic with a worldwide reach based in Daytona Beach.

Through the Direct Primary Care model, she empowers her patients to look and feel their best from the inside out with a lifestyle approach to medicine.

She believes “true medicine comes in more than pill form” and has helped patients lose weight, safely stop medications and live an energetic life.

Her patients include Olympic athletes, CEOs, best-selling authors and teenagers.

Dr. Haynes attended the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She is also very active in the Daytona Beach community.

The lecture series is named after Bernard Simpkins, a highly successful entrepreneur and Space Coast business leader who established the sessions that have brought some of nation’s top business leaders to Brevard.

A Simpkins endowment also started the college’s Business Entrepreneurship Program to educate the next generation of business innovators.
