Openings/Closings For Brevard County Parks, Boat Ramps and Libraries For Thursday, Sept. 28

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Due to damages from Hurricane Irma, Brevard County park openings are sporadic. Residents are encouraged to contact local parks to ensure they are open before visiting. Here are Parks Openings expected on Thursday, Sept. 28.
All Community Centers are now OPEN
North Area Closed:
Fox Lake Park
Rotary Riverfront Park*
Six Mile Creek
Space View Park
Kennedy Point Park
Sand Point Park*
Nicol Park Playground*
*Rotary Riverfront Park South is closed, but Rotary Park North that includes the restrooms, pavilion and playground is open.
*Sand Point Park is partially closed, only the Max Brewer Causeway entrance is open
*Nicol Park Playground is closed, the rest of the park remains open
Central Area Closed:
Lee Wenner Park
South Area Closed:
Kiwanis Park at Geiger Point
Rotary Park at Suntree
Wickham Park (will open at 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28)
Boat Ramps that are Open:
Marina Boat Ramp
Parrish Park Titusville Boat Ramp (one ramp open — located on east side)
Kelly Park East Boat Ramp
Kiwanis Island Park Boat Ramp (south side only)
Eau Gallie Boat Ramp
1st Street Boat Ramp Grant
Lake Shepard Boat Ramp
Lake Washington Boat Ramp
POW/MIA Boat Ramps
All remaining boat ramps are Closed.
All County golf courses, The Habitat Golf Course, The Savannahs and Spessard Holland Golf Course, are open for play.
Long Point Campground is Open. All other Brevard County operated campgrounds are closed.
