Precautionary Boil Water Notice In Place For Residents In Mims Area After Water Main Break

A water main break at 4401 Longbow Drive has prompted a boil water notice for residents of Mims living at these locations: 4310-4615 Longbow Drive; 4531 Flintshire Way; and all of Tanner Court, Malmsey Court and Flintshire Court.

BREVARD COUNTY • MIMS, FLORIDA – A water main break at 4401 Longbow Drive has prompted a boil water notice for residents of Mims living at these locations: 4310-4615 Longbow Drive; 4531 Flintshire Way; and all of Tanner Court, Malmsey Court and Flintshire Court.

As a precaution, Brevard County Utility Services advises that all water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

The precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the water main has been repaired and a bacteriological survey indicates the water is safe to drink. Residents will receive another notification at that time.
