SPACE COAST DAILY HURRICANE TRACKER: Hurricane Irma’s Path Admits Hurricane Watch For Leeward Islands

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center (NHC) has administered a hurricane watch for the northern Leeward Islands due to Hurricane Irma; Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, St. Kitts, Nevis, Saba, St. Eustatius, Sint Maarten, Saint Martin and Saint Barthelemy.

Latest report by NHC shows the max sustained winds at 115 mph and traveling to the west at 14 mph.

In the forecast track, the center of Irma is expected to approach the northern Leeward Islands late Tuesday.

Irma still remains a Category 3 hurricane.
