Titusville Woman, 75, Killed In Two-Car Crash In Front Target Plaza, Two Women Seriously Injured

Titusville Police responded to a deadly two-car crash that killed a 75-year-old woman, and seriously injuring two women, in front of Target Plaza on S.R. 405 in Titusville on Tuesday.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police responded to a deadly two-car crash that killed a 75-year-old woman, and seriously injuring two women, in front of Target Plaza on S.R. 405 in Titusville on Tuesday.

Police say the crash happened just after 5:30 p.m.

Authorities shut down eastbound S.R. 405 (Columbia Boulevard) for several hours as emergency workers and investigators worked the scene of the two-vehicle crash.

According to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department, the preliminary investigation reveals that a 31-year-old Titusville woman was driving a Ford Taurus, heading east on SR405 at the traffic light entrance to the Target Plaza at 3055 Columbia Blvd.

A 23-year-old Titusville woman was driving a Nissan Altima and made a left turn into the Target Plaza, where she was struck by the Ford Taurus.

A 75-year-old passenger in the Altima died at the scene.

The drivers of both vehicles were seriously injured, according to police.

Police are withholding the names of the people involved at this time pending notifications to family members.
