U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Closes Canaveral Lock To All Vessel Traffic

In preparation for Hurricane Irma, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers closed the Canaveral Lock to all vessel traffic at 3 p.m. Friday.

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA –  In preparation for Hurricane Irma, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers closed the Canaveral Lock to all vessel traffic at 3 p.m. Friday.

The Canaveral Lock will remain closed until further notice.

Once the storm passes, the Lock will resume normal operations as soon as an accurate assessment can be made for its safe reopening.
