BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – West Melbourne police are seeking the identity of a man who robbed the Subway restaurant, located at 3048 West New Haven Avenue.
The robbery occurred at the restaurant located in the Metro West Shopping Center on Wednesday evening, September 20, between 8 p.m. and 8:05 p.m.
“The suspect approached the Subway employee, placed a firearm on the counter, covered it with a shirt, and demanded all of the money from the cash register,” said West Melbourne Police Capt. Richard Cordeau.
“When the Subway employee complied with the suspect’s request, the suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. The employee was not injured.”
Capt.Cordeau said the robbery suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his mid to late 30s with a thin mustache, 6-feet tall, and 200 pounds. He was wearing a gray shirt, tan cargo shorts and a black baseball cap at the time of the robbery.
