Cocoa Police Need Help To Identify Robbery Suspect At Family Dollar Store

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Cocoa Police Department needs community’s help in identifying the man captured on surveillance during a robbery at the Family Dollar on 1072 Clearlake Road.

Police say on June 16, at around 3:15 p.m., store surveillance video captured the suspect trying to exit the store without paying for items he had concealed under his clothes.

An employee attempted to stop the suspect, however, the subject displayed a weapon and threatened the employee.

The suspect is described as a dark skin toned male, approximately 50-years-old , between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9 tall, with a slim build.

At the time of the robbery the man was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with orange trim on it as well as a white t-shirt underneath, according to police.
