The Holz Center – a one stop resource center for children with developmental delays

The Brevard County-based Holz Foundation is hosting a Free Family Health Expo today until 1:00 p.m. at Wickham Park.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard County-based Holz Foundation is hosting a Free Family Health Expo today until 1 p.m. at Wickham Park.

The Holz Center – a one stop resource center for children with developmental delays – opened earlier this past summer in Melbourne.

They held a Run Walk Roll 5K Against Bullying earlier this morning and are providing sports demos, kids fitness experts, a ninja course and will also have a DJ with raffle and prizes.

The Holz Center will is located at the former Southern Photo building, located at 125 East Nasa Boulevard in Melbourne, and a Grand Opening is planned next month.

“The Holz Center is designed to help as many children and adults as possible,” said Founder James Holz.

“It will offer a variety of resources for children with any special needs, including ADD, mental disabilities, and physical disabilities. Our goal is to help bring together the Brevard community so that no one feels alone in their struggle.”

Holtz and his wife Pam also founded the Puzzle Box Academy in 2014, which features comprehensive, individualized education to Brevard County children with autism and other developmental delays.

The Holz Center will serve as a comprehensive community center that offers:

• Assistance and resources for those with disabilities
• On-site evaluations for children with developmental delays
• An A.B.A. therapy room
• Viewing room for parents to observe therapy in real time
• An onsite physician to assist with diagnoses

“The center provides a meeting space for not-for-profits to provide social programs and seminars,” said Holz.

The launch of The Holz Center comes on the heels of other successful projects led by The Holz Foundation.

Last winter, the Foundation sponsored 3,000 Christmas shoeboxes for the children of Haiti, to bring hope to the youngest residents of the storm ravaged country.

Recently, the Foundation sponsored more than $225,000 in scholarships for children attending Palm Bay’s Puzzle Box Academy for the 2016-2017 school year.

The Holz Foundation is a faith-based charitable organization dedicated to helping those who need support the most. The mission statement of The Holz Foundation is simply put: “Fulfilling the Great Commission.”
