Police arrested a Titusville man on Monday for sexual battery on a child under 12-years-old after the suspect was recently released eight days prior to having had the same charge dismissed against him.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Police arrested a Titusville man on Monday for sexual battery on a child under 12-years-old after the suspect was recently released eight days prior to having had the same charge dismissed against him.

Titusville Police have identified the the man as 66-year-old Wilbert Davis Sailor.

According to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department, the preliminary investigation revealed that the victim’s mother contacted detectives and reported that the suspect sexually battered her child on Saturday, September 30.

The suspect was known to the victim, police say.

Sailor was booked into the Brevard County Jail and held on a $35,000 bond.
