BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Rockledge Raiders (5-3) defeated the Space Coast Vipers (3-6) tonight 48-7 at ‘The Rock’ in a special presentation of Space Coast Daily Monday Night Football, brought to you by the Friday Night Locker Room.

Due to Hurricane Irma earlier in the season, tonight’s game was a makeup from a game originally scheduled in September.

Friday Night Locker Room’s Steve Wilson and Alan Zlotorzynski provided media coverage for tonight’s game on Space Coast Daily TV.

SPACE COAST

Space Coast, currently on a three-game losing streak, look to play spoiler tonight in ‘The Rock’ and disrupt Rockledge’s momentum as the Raiders head to the playoffs next week. After starting season 3-2, with close losses to Harmony and Poinciana, the Vipers have since then loss their last three games by a combined score 102-21.

Last week, the Vipers got blanked by the Merritt Island Mustangs 38-0. Their first shutout loss since last year’s game against Palm Bay 45-0.

ROCKLEDGE

After clinching the district title last Friday night against Titusville, the Rockledge Raiders are looking to continue their momentum as they are currently riding a three-game winning streak heading into tonight.

The Raiders faced a brutal schedule to start the year when they faced a two undefeated teams in Osceola and Clearwater Central Catholic. Another loss to Viera 13-6 in week 1 gave the Raiders three losses so far in the 2017 season.

Rockledge rebounded with good wins over Mount Dora, Palm Bay, Merritt Island and Titusville has given the Raiders a Class 5a district 14 title.

Rockledge faces off with the Cocoa Tigers Friday night, a game that can be seen on Space Coast Daily TV.
