Melbourne Police K9 Scout officially retired this week after serving for six working years at the Melbourne Police Department. Scout has been a loyal and hardworking K9 to his handler, Officer Helms, the MPD family and the citizens of the City of Melbourne. “Scout, we wish you a happy and awesome life of retirement, thank you for your service and loyalty,” MPD said in a Facebook post.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police K9 Scout officially retired this week after serving for six working years at the Melbourne Police Department.

Scout has been a loyal and hardworking K9 to his handler, Officer Helms, the MPD family and the citizens of the City of Melbourne.
