Florida-Israel Innovation Partnership

As part of his ongoing trade mission in Israel, Governor Rick Scott highlighted Tuesday the successful Florida-Israel Memorandum of Understanding Agreement between Space Florida and Israel, which ultimately established the Florida-Israel Innovation Partnership following the Governor’s 2011 trade mission to Israel.

AIRPORT CITY, ISRAEL – As part of his ongoing trade mission in Israel, Governor Rick Scott highlighted Tuesday the successful Florida-Israel Memorandum of Understanding Agreement between Space Florida and Israel, which ultimately established the Florida-Israel Innovation Partnership following the Governor’s 2011 trade mission to Israel.

Through a joint application process, the Florida-Israel Innovation Partnership supports research, development, aerospace and technology projects between Israeli and Florida businesses.

As part of this recognition, Scott presented 16 participating companies with the Governor’s Business Ambassador Award. The State of Florida and Israel have each invested $1 million annually to support the partnership.

“Through the Florida-Israel Innovation Partnership, we have worked together to support businesses that are helping strengthen Florida and Israel as global leaders for innovation,” said Scott.

“I was proud to present some of the many Florida and Israeli participants with a Governor’s Business Ambassador Award today, and we will continue to work closely with our partners in Israel to support projects that will lead to the creation of new opportunities for our families.”

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Israel
StemRad, Israel
Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Florida
Elbit Systems, Israel
General Capacitor, Florida
E1Mind A, Israel
Semi-Conductor Devices, Israel
Vision Engineering, Florida
Nano Dimension, Israel
Semplastics, Florida

Scott is currently leading a delegation of nearly 70 Florida business and education leaders on a trade mission in Israel to continue to build on Florida and Israel’s strong relationship. Florida’s economic development and trading partnership with Israel exceeds $286 million a year.
