BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Attention Superheroes, lace up your running shoes and help abused children in need as Friends of Children of Brevard County, Inc. and the Guardian Ad Litem Program are co-hosting the 6th annual Super Hero 5K and 1 mile Fun Run on Feb. 3 at The Avenue Viera.
Every child needs a hero and abused children need SUPERHEROES!
Whether you are a competitive runner, a casual walker, or just love the idea of supporting a wonderful cause, participating in the Friends Superhero Run allows you to support abused and neglected children in Brevard County.
What do Spiderman, Superman, Batman and Robin all have in common?
They were all adopted! Real life icon’s such as Babe Ruth, Marilyn Monroe, John Lennon and Cher were also in foster care at one time. These fictional and real-life Superheroes prove that with the help of others, we can achieve great things; which is why Friends of Children of Brevard is hosting the 6th Annual Superhero Run.
The run offers a 5K, 1-mile Fun Run, and 5K and 1-mile Superhero Challenge option. Complimentary food and drinks will be provided to all participants.
Awards are available for the top school with most participation, top three teams, top three overall male and female, top male and female in all age groups.
Medals will be given to all participants who register for the Superhero Challenge. For those who are unable to attend the race, a virtual option will be available.
