UPDATE: Motorcyclist Killed In Collision With BCSO Patrol Car In Cape Canaveral Identified

Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly motorcycle crash that involved a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office patrol car Tuesday afternoon near E. Central Blvd. and Circle Dr. in Cape Canaveral.

**UPDATE** BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA  – The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist killed Tuesday afternoon as 33-year-old Ronald Lutrario from Cocoa Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly motorcycle crash that involved a Brevard County Sheriff’s Office patrol car Tuesday afternoon near E. Central Blvd. and Circle Dr. in Cape Canaveral.

Authorities say 33-year-old Ronald Lutrario was driving the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

Investigators say the Lutrario was traveling above the speed limit heading eastbound on Central Blvd. BCSO Deputy Carmine Siniscal was heading westbound when he attempted to turn left, across Central Blvd. and into the path of the motorcycle, according to Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol.

Lutrario then struck the right side of the patrol car. Authorities will not release the motorcyclist’s name until the family has been notified.

BCSO Deputy Siniscal, 67, did not suffer any injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
