BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The 25th annual Melbourne Light Parade will be on Saturday, December 9, and will cause some shutdowns for a few roads Saturday night.

Officials say the parade will stage in the vacant parking lot located on the northeast corner of Airport Boulevard and NASA Boulevard (100 West NASA Boulevard).

Parts of Airport Blvd., Hibiscus Blvd and Gateway Dr. will be closed from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.. (As seen on the above map)

The parade will travel west on NASA Boulevard, south on Airport Boulevard, west on Hibiscus Boulevard and end at Gateway Drive.

The parade will end as participants enter Gateway Drive from Hibiscus Boulevard. Riders are being told to exit their floats and enter the designated participant pickup area (Health First parking lot).

Participants are not permitted to ride on floats after disbursement.

Entrance into the participant pickup area will be via Broadband Drive and signs will be placed on NASA Boulevard directing those picking up participants to the pickup area.

Vehicles are being instructed to exit the pickup area via NASA Boulevard.
