FHP: Vehicle Rams Into Merritt Island Post Office On Crockett Boulevard

Crash occurred around 10:30 a.m.

Florida Highway Patrol responded to an incident that involved a vehicle that crashed into the Merritt Island Post Office on 333 Crockett Blvd. and Diana Blvd.

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to an incident Tuesday morning that involved a vehicle crashing into the Merritt Island Post Office, located at 333 Crockett Boulevard.

The driver of the car, 82-year-old Ronald Morgan from Merritt Island, was trying to park and pressed on the gas pedal instead of the brake, according to Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol.

No one was injured in the crash.

FHP ticketed Morgan for careless driving and recommended Morgan to a driver’s license re-examination.
