BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA (8:15 p.m.) — Brevard County’s Office of Emergency Management reported at 8:05 p.m. that all southbound lanes are once again open on Interstate 95 at Mile Marker 163 near Micco following a fiery and deadly crash involving a tanker truck vs. car earlier this afternoon.

Brevard Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol reported to a deadly crash involving a tanker truck vs. car crash on northbound Interstate 95 at Mile Marker 163 near Micco and shut down all lanes at about 3:35 p.m.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the tanker caught on fire after the collision and the driver died on scene.

Two people were transported to Holmes Regional.

FHP is advising motorists to use A1A as an alternate route.

Northbound I-95 is shut down at mm 156 and Southbound is shut down at mm 173

The tanker truck was hauling hydrogen peroxide.
