BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public School’s music resource teacher Cynthia Johnson was honored with the 2018 Florida Music Education Association Leadership Award for her outstanding contributions to music education throughout the state.

Johnson has made significant contributions to music curriculum, and her work is often used as a state-wide model.

She received the award at the FMEA Professional Development Conference on Friday.

Johnson Middle, Central Middle, Southwest Middle, West Shore Jr./Sr. High and Satellite High also received FMEA recognition for their strong music programs.
