Convicted Felon Arrested In Titusville For Possession of Multiple Illegal Drugs

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Titusville Police have arrested a suspected drug dealer, who was in possession of multiple illegal drugs, and was attempting to sell the drugs within the city of Titusville, according to Amy Matthews of the Titusville Police Department.

Adam Carnell Copeland, convicted felon, 32, of Titusville was arrested on Thursday, January 4, at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Police say the preliminary investigation has revealed that officers spotted the suspect driving a maroon Chrysler Pacifica sport utility vehicle. Officers had knowledge that the suspect was operating the vehicle without a valid license.

The suspect parked the vehicle in the backyard of a residence on Wager Avenue and fled the area on foot. After a short foot pursuit by officers, the suspect was taken into custody in the area of Wager Avenue and Union Street.

During the arrest process, the suspect was found to be in possession of a backpack containing over 16 grams of Oxycodone, 100 grams of marijuana and 130 grams of cocaine, some of which was hidden in a false bottom powered cleanser can.

Copeland was charged with Trafficking Oxycodone over 7 grams, Trafficking Cocaine over 28 grams, Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana over 20 grams, Possession with Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting an Officer, and Driving with a Suspended License with Knowledge.

Copeland was booked into the Brevard County Jail and is being held without bond.
