BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Ieva Spigule hit her seventh 3-pointer of the night to send the Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball team to a 73-71 win over IMG Academy Tuesday night at Titan Field House.

IMG Academy, who brought some players from a Chinese Pro team out of Beijing that are working out at the Academy, took its first lead of the game with one minute and 52 seconds left in the contest.

Mariah Batz gave the Titans the lead with a 3-pointer but IMG Academy made a runner and was fouled, hitting the free throw to set up the finish. With 9.7 seconds left in the game, Spigule hit a 3-pointer from the corner and then after an IMG Academy timeout, Kio Yanazaki’s shot rolls off the front of the rim as time expired.

Spigule finished with a season-high 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Alexandrine Obouh Fegue finished with 14 points, Batz had 13 and Brianna Lewis had 12 points and nine assists.

The Titans improved to 14-3 with the win and head into Saturday afternoon’s game with Santa Fe College on a four-game win streak.
