Donald Richard Pardee, Palm Bay, passed away on January 13, 2018. He was 90 years old.
Mr. Pardee retired to Palm Bay in 1991 with his wife Patricia, from Carlsbad, California. Mr. Pardee, a veteran of World War II, entered the US Navy in 1944 after graduating from high school and entered the USN’s V-5 Pilot Training Program. He was honorably discharged in 1947 as a Naval Aviator.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Donald Richard Pardee, Palm Bay, passed away on January 13, 2018. He was 90 years old.

Mr. Pardee retired to Palm Bay in 1991 with his wife Patricia, from Carlsbad, California. Mr. Pardee, a veteran of World War II, entered the US Navy in 1944 after graduating from high school and entered the USN’s V-5 Pilot Training Program. He was honorably discharged in 1947 as a Naval Aviator.

An early student and employee of Computer Programming, Mr. Pardee was a System Analyst for Sperry Gyroscope; a Manager of Programming, Hughes Aircraft; the Director of Information Systems, Data Division, Litton Systems; Director of Operations, Hughes Dynamics; Manager of Management Systems, Convair Division, General Dynamics; Director of Data Processing, City of San Diego; Director of Information Systems, Lear Sigler.

Mr. Pardee held degrees from Dartmouth College and a Masters degree from the National University, San Diego. He was a member of the Panel of Arbitration, the American Arbitration Association.

While a resident of San Diego, Mr. Pardee had a two-year appointment as Chief Pilot of the San Diego Flying Samaritan medical aid group, flying doctors and dental groups into inaccessible areas of Baja, California. He was a lifelong avid aviation enthusiast and sailor. His avocation was teaching computer programming.

At one time or another, he taught part-time in the evenings at Pasadena Jr. College; Southern Methodist University, Dallas; Cal Western University, San Diego; and National University, San Diego. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all for his love, kindness and a great sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Pardee, his children Cole Pardee, Peter Pardee, Jon Pardee and Dana Pardee and his stepchildren Janice Davis, Pamela McFatridge and Theresa Eisinger. He is predeceased by his son Clay Pardee.

Mr. Pardee’s memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Ammen Family Cremation and Funeral Care, 1001 South Hickory Street, Melbourne, Florida 32901. Condolences are at afcfcare.com
