PALM BAY POLICE: Nathanielle Gordon Charged with Attempted Murder, Arson After Setting Tent On Fire

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Nathanielle Geneva Gordon, 21, was arrested by the Palm Bay police and charged with attempted murder, criminal mischief and first-degree arson.

The incident happened Monday morning about 7:43 a.m. when police were dispatched to assist the fire department due to a fire at a homeless camp located on 3600 Dixie Highway NE in Palm Bay.

According to police, officers made contact with a very irate and enraged woman identified as Gordon, who said she tried to kill her boyfriend by burning him up with gasoline while he slept inside his tent.

She also mentioned she wanted to burn him to a “sizzling crisp.”

The victim fled the burning tent and was not injured.

According to police, the victim said he had been in a heated verbal altercation with Gordon, who retaliated by lighting his tent on fire while he was still laying inside of it. Most of the victim’s personal property inside the tent was burnt to ashes.

Gordon told police that the victim constantly abused her physically and mentally.
