BREVARD COUNTY • SNUG HARBOR, FLORIDA – A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for Snug Harbor Residents which includes: all of Bison St., Dracena Dr., Niantic Ave., Bannock St., Kyak Ct., Longhorn Ave., Hammerstone Ct., Great Bear Lake Dr., Fox Hunter Cir., Chasta Rd., Cedar Bark Rd., Buckhorn Pl., Agawan Rd., Blackhawk Rd., and Algonquin Pl.– will be under a precautionary boil water notice effective immediately.

A water main break has occurred on Bannock Ct. in Snug Harbor. The water will be turned off for 3 – 5 hours while the repair is made.

Once water service is restored, Brevard County Utilities advises, as a precaution, that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This “precautionary boil water notice” will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.

Officials say residents will receive another notification at that time.
