BREVARD COUNTY • BAREFOOT BAY, FLORIDA – Residents living in the the following locations of Barefoot Bay — 1344 to 1486 Gardenia Drive, 1400 Barberry St., and 1200 Barefoot Blvd. — will be under a precautionary boil water notice effective Tuesday, Jan. 30, until further notice.

A water main is being relocated on Gardenia Drive due to a storm water pipe installation. At 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, the water will be turned off for 3 to 5 hours. Once water service is restored a precautionary boil water notice will be issued.

As a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the main has been repaired and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. You will receive another notification at that time.
