BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – Southeast Tourism Society has named the Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival one of the STS Top 20 Events in the Southeast for January 2018 for the fifth year in a row.

This year’s Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival will occur between January 24-29, 2018. The STS Top 20 Festival and Event Awards have highlighted programs around the Southeast since 1985.

The Space Coast Birding and Wildlife Festival features world class photographers, unique field trips, engaging workshops and presentations by various field experts. Come see why it is one of the largest and most award-winning birding & wildlife festivals in the United States. This year’s festival will be no exception. Be sure to sign up for one of our many field trips to get up close and personal with the local bird and wildlife populations in our amazing public and private lands. Enjoy one of our newly featured “Spotlight Presentations” and workshops led by some of the best in the birding world.

The keynote speakers Pete Dunne and Kevin Karlson have honored us by coming to present on their newly released book on raptors. We are privileged to have world class photographers here, and the optics and camera companies at the Exhibit Center provide an outstanding array of equipment to enhance your birdwatching abilities.

While in the Exhibit Center, discuss that bucket list birding trip with one of the tour companies, buy one of the latest birding publications, say hello to local organizations doing their part in preserving our natural resources, and explore the variety of other exhibitors looking forward to meeting you.

“The Southeast is home to unique and memorable events throughout the year. In spotlighting the Top 20 festivals and events each month, STS is not only giving these events the recognition they deserve but we’re also creating a quick reference guide to some of the best festivals in the Southeast,” said Bill Hardman, president and CEO of the Southeast Tourism Society.

“These events are important to the economic vitality of our communities and this is a way for us to acknowledge the time and resources organizers have tirelessly spent to create memories for their attendees.”

Events considered for the STS Top 20 recognition must be at least three years old and have attendance of at least 1,000. STS, founded in 1983 and headquartered in Atlanta, Ga., is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting tourism to and within 12 states – Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
