Among McLean’s artifacts to be on display at The Country Music Hall of Fame Museum is part of a never-before-seen complete manuscript of McLean’s classic 1970 hit song “Vincent” (Starry, Starry Night), and a 1997 Martin acoustic guitar he has toured with since 1999 and was seen playing on his PBS documentary special Starry, Starry Night also will be on display.

“As a strange musical hybrid of some kind, I was always welcome in Nashville without reservation,” said the 72- year-old McLean.

“I would like to add whatever I can to the storied past of country music as a musical representative of Americana.”

In addition to “Starry Starry Night,” McLean is forever associated with his classic hits “American Pie,” “Castles in the Air,” “And I Love You So” and “Crying.”
