Titans Cruise By Florida State College 94-72, Carter Leads Team With 18 Points

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball team picked up its first Mid-Florida Conference win Saturday afternoon, defeating the Florida State College at Jacksonville 94-72 at Titan Field House.

The Titans led by as many as 27 points in the first half led by sophomore Shaq Carter who dominated inside, scoring 11 points in the first half and finishing with a team-high 18 points in the win.

FSC-Jacksonville battled back in the second half behind 3-point shooter Malcolm Richardson who finished with eight 3-pointers in the game.

But the Titans made sure it never got under 15 points as Nathanael Jack scored a basket and was fouled, hitting the free throw to push it back to 18 five minutes into the second half.

Ahmed Ali finished with 14 points, while Jack had 12 and Silas Adheke and Ezekiel Balogun each had 10 points in the win. Ei Abaev finished with a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Titans are now 18-2 overall and 1-1 in the Mid-Florida Conference. They will travel to Daytona to face Daytona State on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. They will be back at Titan Field House Saturday afternoon for a 4 p.m. game against Santa Fe College.
