Winter Storm Grayson Bears Down On Florida, Georgia and South Carolina Brace For Possible Record Snowfall

ABOVE VIDEO: A brutally cold air mass has taken over much of the country, with record breaking cold temperatures for some. It’s important to protect yourself, elders and pets from the frigid air. Jim Cantore has some tips on how to stay safe.
(THE WEATHER CHANNEL ) – Winter Storm Grayson may be a damaging ice storm in parts of north Florida and southeast Georgia, and may produce one of the heavier snowfalls in recent decades in coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
A blizzard warning has been issued for far northeastern North Carolina and far southeastern Virginia, including Norfolk, Virginia, due to the combination of heavy snowfall and gusty winds which will likely cause whiteout conditions and significant drifting of the snow.
Winter storm warnings have been issued from parts of northern Florida into southeastern Georgia, the eastern Carolinas and southeast Virginia, including the cities of Savannah, Georgia, Charleston, South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina.
Tallahassee, Florida was included in a winter storm warning through early Wednesday morning, which was the first winter storm warning issued there in almost four years. The last occurrence was when Winter Storm Leon produced snow and ice over much of the Southeast, leading to travel chaos in cities such as Atlanta, Birmingham, Alabama and Tallahassee, Florida.
