BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – While this week has been extremely tough for our agency and community, I want to take a minute to personally thank our citizens for their amazing show of love and support yesterday for Agent Kevin Stanton, his family and our entire agency!

In all my years as a Law Enforcement Officer I have never seen a community show their support at a time like this, as our community did yesterday during the Funeral Procession for Kevin.

As we left the church service that was attended by over 1,700 people and proceeded to the cemetery, our entire agency was deeply touched by the thousands of citizens who lined the streets along the entire course. Standing shoulder to shoulder with us were citizens holding American Flags, Thin Blue Line Flags, signs of love and sorrow and even those standing at attention in honor of our fallen hero.

It was an amazing sight that brought me and our team to tears as we drove past!

From young to old you stood with Kevin, his family and our agency and we will never forget how much your love and support meant to us!! I always tell everyone that we are blessed to serve in Brevard County and yesterday’s show of love and support is a perfect example of why!

On behalf of Kevin, his family, and our entire agency “Thank You” for standing with us and showing that when we hurt our Community hurts with us!
