Brevard County Fire Rescue District 40 Chief Darron Murray Retires After 30 Years of Service

Son is a newly hired BCFR Firefighter

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA– Earlier this month Brevard County District Chief Darron Murray retired after faithfully and selflessly serving the citizens and visitors of Brevard County for 30 years.

His legacy will continue within the ranks of Brevard County Fire Rescue as his son Desmond is a newly hired BCFR Firefighter.

Aside from Desmond, Chief Murray enjoyed his last supper as District 40 Chief at Station 41 surrounded by his family and friends.

Brevard County Fire Rescue Fire Chief Mark Schollmeyer was on hand to present Murray with his retirement plaque as was IAFF 2969 District 40 Representative John Verbeck.
