It’s that time of year again for the 46th Annual Saint Katherine Greek Festival, set for this weekend, Feb. 23 to 25, at St Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, located at 5965 N. Wickham Road.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – It’s that time of year again for the 46th Annual Saint Katherine Greek Festival, set for this weekend, Feb. 23 to 25, at St Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, located at 5965 N. Wickham Road.

Admission is $2 which includes a free entry for the daily raffle, and parking is free. Kids under 10, military personnel and first responders with ID are free.

Since those first Greeks’ steps into Florida circa 1768, our pride of culture, family, community and a solid work ethic has allowed us to share our celebration of life through the lens of our deep faith, culinary prowess, meaningful music & dance, rich culture & traditional customs.

This 46th Anniversary is a celebratory weekend centered around that which makes us Greek – a bountiful family table overflowing with authentic Greek food and drink.

FOOD CONCESSIONS offer fall-off-the-bone lamb shanks, as well as featured specialties from local Greek restauranteurs.

Look for our Gyro sandwiches and appetizers topped with Zachary’s Restaurant Tzatziki (Cape Canaveral), beautifully dressed salads from Olive Tree Greek Grill (Viera), delectable offerings from Kelsey’s Pizzeria (Rockledge and Merritt Island), a bevy of savory entrées and the deliciously sweet and baked-fresh-daily layered milk-custard and phyllo dessert – Victoria’s Galaktoboureko, from Victoria’s Restaurant (Merritt Island).

Libations abound. The KAFENIO coffee shop has taken on a new face this year while serving robust single-origin, locally hand-roasted Greek & American coffees with beans ground fresh hourly. Grab a bag or two, ground or unground to take home.

The TAVERNA BAR overflows with Greek Beers and Wines and Ouzo shots. And MEZE (Greek appetizers) is always hopping. At MEZE, the Saganaki – a Greek cheese flambéed with our famous brandy, continues to be a big hit and bigger performance. Never forget to yell – OPA!

ABOVE MAP: It’s that time of year again – welcome to the 46th Annual Saint Katherine Greek Festival, set for the weekend of Feb. 23 to 25 at St Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, located at 5965 N. Wickham Road.

Over at the PASTRY SHOP (along with a sampling of items from our Sunday GREEK MARKET & General Store) we serve many traditional desserts baked by our Ladies philanthropic group, the Philoptochos. Their newest cookbook is available throughout the Festival.

Again they have fresh Tsourekia sweet bread baked by the Nuns of the Holy Monastery of the Annunciation of the Theotokos (the Virgin Mary) near Ocala. They are not to be missed.

Check the Festival each day for gourmet, small-batch offerings, as well as the addition of some flavorful gluten-free and vegetarian options.

Always bustling, the AGORA Marketplace features a variety of vendors offering epicurean delights, jewelry, handbags, t-shirts, the Pastry Shop outpost and many other Greek & Mediterranean-inspired items.

You never know which of your favorites will be presenting pop-up shops with clothing, accessories, art and other items.

The Philoptochos will host another series of their popular cooking demonstrations, with cooking classes during the year. The children, and parents, are in luck this year with the expanded PAIDIKI CHARA children’s playground.

Alongside the live Greek music of Ellada, the various age groups of our award-winning Grecian Odyssey Dance Troupe will perform, dressed in traditional Hellenic costumes.

CHURCH TOURS led by Fr. Demetri Tsigas will explain the history and origins of the Orthodox Faith, its architecture, interiors and Byzantinestyle iconography artwork. He will be available to answer any questions or curiosity you may have about our spiritual services.

Continuing the tradition of ‘giving back to our community’, the Greek Festival Committee has selected a local worthy cause as the recipient of this year’s Saint Katherine Greek Festival Community Appreciation Donation.
