Tragically Killed riding his bike in Vero Beach

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Feb 23, 2018, at the South Patrick Chapel, Satellite Beach.

BREVARD COUNTY • PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, FLORIDA– Col Christopher Patrick “Sunshine” Hannon, USAF, Ret passed away on Feb 2, 2018, at 57 years of age.

He was born on Oct 24, 1960, in New York, NY, but spent his childhood years in Florida and New Orleans. When he was 17, and just out of high school, he became a scuba diving instructor.

Hannon then moved to Washington State to be near his sister Sally where he taught diving and went to college. It was there he met the love of his life, Theresa. They were married 35 years and had two beautiful daughters, Chelsea and Caitlin.

After college Hannon began his Air Force career as a Search and Rescue Helicopter pilot.

He had recently retired and was enjoying a full life. He loved adventure and the outdoors. Scuba diving with his family was his favorite hobby.

He also loved camping, biking, kayaking, palm tree climbing, furniture making, and stained glass.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 35 years; Theresa; daughters, Chelsea and Caitlin; and a large loving extended family.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Feb 23, 2018, at the South Patrick Chapel, Satellite Beach.

Burial will follow at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims. Donations may be made in Chris’ memory to www.thatothersmaylive.org
