Service to be held at New Life Christian Church

As we make final preparations for Kevin’s services tomorrow, I only have one remaining request and that is that tomorrow afternoon between approximately 3:15 and 4 p.m., in honor of Deputy Kevin J. Stanton our community and businesses line U.S 1 from New Life Christian Church north to Garden Street and along Garden Street West to Oaklawn Memorial Gardens as we follow our fallen hero to and pay our last respects in a full Law Enforcement Honors Ceremony at the Memorial Gardens.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This afternoon, we lay to rest one of our family members, a gentle soul who was very proud to represent his agency and community as a Deputy Sheriff.

It will be a sad and emotional day, but at the same time, a day to help our agency and community heal as we continue to grieve the loss of our friend and brother.

I wanted to take a moment to share with you why I am so proud to be part of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and our community. During this past week, I have watched the incredible efforts of the BCSO as the worked together, stood tall and did everything possible to help a grieving family, agency, and community.

While deeply saddened, they continued to conduct the agency’s mission of protecting our citizens while also helping to prepare for tomorrow’s service.

In addition, throughout this past week our agency has received an outpouring of support and condolences that serve to echo what I always say…”we are blessed to serve in Brevard County where our citizens love, trust and protect us, just as much as we love, trust and protect them.”

The telephone calls, texts, emails, and prayers have been of great strength and mean more to us than you will ever know!

I am a faith based man, as is Kevin’s family and as a result, we believe there was a greater calling for Kevin. On earth, he was a leader among men, a brother, son and friend and today he continues his service as a hero in memory to us, an angel on our shoulder and a constant reminder to all of us just how precious our moments on earth can be!!

On behalf of our entire agency we can’t thank you enough for the kind thoughts and prayers throughout the week.

We would love to see you standing along the route, expressing your support for his family as your love and support is the greatest gift you can give to your public safety members and the family of our fallen hero!
