VIDEO: In this episode of “Cookin’ Up Justice With Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey,” a 38- year old cold case is highlighted.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – In this episode of “Cookin’ Up Justice With Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey,” a 38- year old cold case is highlighted.

In this case, the body of a black female was discovered at Murrell Road and Barnes Boulevard on October 11, 1980.

The victim was described as 20 to 25 years old, 5-foot-6-inches tall, 120 pounds, with reddish/brown hair, and brown eyes.

The investigation revealed that months before the homicide, the victim had been arrested in Pinellas County under the name Joanne English.

It was later discovered the victim had provided a false name, social security number and date of birth in order to be quickly released from jail.

Investigators determined the victim was driven to Brevard County just prior to being murdered.

The victim to date has not been identified and is classified as “Jane Doe.”
