Launch Window opens at 4:25 p.m. ET

ABOVE LIVESTREAM: SpaceX set to launch the GovSat-1 satellite to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch successfully lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on Wednesday

The rocket lifted off from Space Launch Complex 40 on scheduled at 4:25 p.m. ET Coverage of the launch was provided by SpaceX and Space Coast Daily TV.

According to SpaceFlightNow, the SES 16/GovSat 1 satellite will provide secure military X-band and Ka-band communications links, helping support Luxembourg’s NATO obligations.
